It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Oakes (Wilburton, Oklahoma), born in Hugo, Oklahoma, who passed away on February 25, 2019, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James G. Oakes and Ruby Oakes (Rosson); and his siblings, LaJuan Withrow, Sam Oakes, Lola Withrow, David Oakes, Syble Makerney, Tommie Oakes, Bunion Oakes and Joyce Withrow.
He is survived by: his siblings, Robert Oakes (Bonnie) of Ft. Towson, OK, Henry Oakes (Kathy) of Naples, TX and Edna Oakes Berndt (Jerry) of Wills Point, TX. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
