He was predeceased by: his parents, David Louis Ward and Minnie Maudie Ward (Reece); his wife Carolyn Sue Ward (Fultz); his grandsons, Preston Louis Ward and Charley Wayne Truitt; and his son-in-law Wayne Truitt.
He is survived by: his former wife Irene Boddy-Ward; his children, David Kenneth Ward (Gena) of Wilburton, Minnie Carol Truitt of Wilburton, Mark Edwin Ward (Bobbi) of Wilburton, Evelyn "Tootie" Battles (Shawn) of Wilburton and Peggy Elizabeth Reinhardt of Wilburton; his grandchildren, Jennifer Hebert (Jody), Derrick Ward (Keri), Devin Ward (Chloe), Heath Truitt, Hannah Truitt, Markus Ward (Lindsay), Joey Webb, Billy Webb, Casey Reinhardt (Callie) and Chelsey Wilcox (Lee); his great grandchildren, Tyler, Taytum, Bella, Briarlyn, Rylee, Jase, Kenlee, Emery, Dawson, Wyatt, Addie, Griffin, Brody and Nolan David; his friend Irene Boddy; and his siblings, Sevalow, Mary Edith, Retha, Callie, Calvin, Margie and Jim Ward.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private graveside service with a 10-guest attendance limit will be held Thursday, May 14, 2020 at High Bridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Wilburton officiated by David's grandson, Casey Reinhardt.
