The memory of David Shero (Wilburton, Oklahoma), born in McAlester, Oklahoma, who passed away on January 1, 2025 at the age of 64, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, David shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid David farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He is survived by: his wife Cindy (Davis); his children, Jessica and Cash (Jordan); his grandchildren, Norah and Miriam of Bentonville, Arkansas; his children, Jill and Shero-McDaniel (Caleb) of Oklahoma City; and his siblings, Gerald Shero (Anita) of Hartshorne, Patricia Heflebower (Craig) of Sallisaw and Lynette Lambert (Gary) of Muskogee.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Wilburton High School (1201 W Blair Ave, Wilburton, OK 74578).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Salt of the Earth Church or The Edwards Store (historical Butterfield Trail stop), reflecting Earl's lifelong dedication to his faith, history, and community.

“Cindy and family. June and I are so saddened to learn of Earl's passing. What great memories I have of our growing-up years....school, sports, church, Centerpoint. As a young person growing up Earl was well liked and respected by all of us. And I know that continued for him as he matured into manhood. I'm really thankful for the time he and I had visiting and catching-up when we attended Easter service with you last year. Our prayers are with you. Sincerely, Rick Dennis”
