She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Bill Vander Schans of Whitefield; her sons, Matthew Vander Schans of Whitefield, Thomas Vander Schans of Oklahoma City and David Vander Schans of Whitefield; her sister Sharon Baxter (John); her grandchildren, Sophia, Alex, Breanna, Cody and Connor Vander Schans Numerous; her brother-in-law Clarence Arthur (Beverly) of Elgin; and her parents, Charles Lindstedt and Ellen Lindstedt. She was also cherished by Numerous nieces and nephews.
