He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathan Sr. Blanton and Ethel Blanton (Davis); his son Glenn Randale Blanton; his grandson Jason Dale Blanton; his son-in-law JD 'Pete Poole Jr.; and the mother of his children LaVina Bell.
He is survived by: his wife LaVina Williams; his daughters, Glenda (John Patton), Cindy (Johnny Murray), Tammy (Paul Broome), Rhonda Poole of Cromwell and Nena (Bill Anderson); his daughter-in-law Teresa Blanton of Prague; and his pet Queenie. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and their spouses, thirty great grandchildren, ten great-great grandchildren; one brother & three sisters, with numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
