It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garland Wayne Carter of Wewoka, Oklahoma, born in Wetumka, Oklahoma, who passed away on October 2, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Carter and Artie Carter; and his siblings, Jim Carter, Lonnie Carter and Kenneth Storts.
He is survived by: his wife Larisa Anatolievna Ermakova; his son Shawn Carter (Patricia) of Maud; his grandchildren, Clayton, Carter, Kye Matamoros, Donna Shapard and Skylar Carter; his siblings, Jean Elliott (Clinton) of Holdenville, David Carter (Shelley) of Yeager, Linda Johnson of Oklahoma City, Terry Kirby (Donna) of Tecumseh and Cathy Barksdale (Michael) of Shawnee; and his half-brother Ricky Fick of Sacramento, CA.. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
