It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Lea Carter of Wewoka, Oklahoma, who passed away on February 11, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Don Tripp and Ada Avis Tripp (Taylor); her son Eddie Carter; her grandsons, James Bryant and Jason Andrew Carter; and her siblings, Randoph Tripp, Alice Pollard, Andrew Tripp, Eldon Tripp, Christine Player and Willene Simoneaux.
She is survived by: her children, Janice Bryant of Wewoka, Donnie Carter (Donna) of Spaulding, Joetta Wood (Barry) of Yeager, Brenda Sneed (Rickie) of Little and Tony Carter (Laura) of Stella; and her siblings, Aline Sexton (Leon) of Piedmont, Thurlow Tripp (Joan) of Norman, Thelma Vaughn of Elk City, David Tripp (Debbie) of Elk City and Darlene Kupka (Donnie) of Agra. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home (301 E Main St, Holdenville, OK 74848). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Church of the Nazarene (323 S Oak St, Holdenville, OK 74848).
