With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Melven Samilton of Wetumka, Oklahoma, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 12, 2024 at the age of 87. Though Melven has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Rommie and Katie Berry; and her children, Mackilee Samilton Jr., Mitchell Samilton Sr., Janice Hubbard and Clarissa Hart.
She is survived by: her husband Mackilee Samilton Sr.; and her children, Sheila Broner (Chris Lunsford) of Wetumka, Steve Samilton of Tulsa and Tina Coleman (Jimmy Coleman) of Shawnee. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, over 40 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, 1 brother, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home of Wetumka Wetumka (221 S Main St, Wetumka, OK 74883). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Wetumka First Baptist Church (500 OK-9, Wetumka, OK 74883).
