He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Kaser and Hazel Kaser (Rudduck); his sisters, Velma Blystone and Jean Olson; his son-in-law Earl L. Ulbricht; his nephew Larry Lane (Pat) of Valparaiso, IN; and his cousin Effie Violanti (Schrader) of Long Beach, MS..
He is survived by: his wife Marie; his children, Tammy J. Ulbricht (Earl) of South Bend, Patti M. Olson of Columbus, OH and James E. Olson (Lynn) of North Liberty; his grandchildren, Ashley Ulbricht of Carmel, IN, Rachel VanWilligan (Jeff) of Pendergrass, GA, Erin Ferguson (John) of South Bend, Steven Olson (Renee) of South Bend and Roman Olson (Delta) of South Bend; his nephew Larry Kaser (Janet) of Pinnellas Park, FL; his cousins, Shirley Doms (Olson) of Mill Creek, IN and Frank Violanti of Fresno; and his significant other Rockne Harrison. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of James A. Olson may be donated to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 225 E. Haney Street, South Bend, IN 46613, where Jim has been a faithful member, or to the North Liberty Masonic Lodge, 3887 S. Hupp Road, LaPorte, IN 46350.
