He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Elmore and Martha Ellen Christian (Kidd); his grandparents, Omar, Bert Kidd, Elmore and Stella Christian (Suttle); and his brother J. R. Walton.
He is survived by: his wife Myrle Christian; his children, Pam Christian, Terry Bracken (John), Jimmy Christian (Trina), Brandon Christian (Chrissie), Nick Phillips (Oaklea), Candy Harwood (Brian) and Jon Phillips (Janece); and his niece Joan Allen. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren.
