She was predeceased by: her parents, Author Manuel and Anna Maye Grubb Burton; her husband Oscar Handcock; and her mother-in-law Mildred Palmer. She is survived by: her children, Mathew Handcock (Robin) of Suisun, Monya Zelenak of Streator, IL and Darlene Palmer (Stephen) of Cainsville, MO; and her siblings, Arthur Burton Jr (Alisa) of Davae City, Philippines, Freda Schmeichel (Walter) of Morrow, OH and Carolyn Burgess of Bloomfield, IN. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.
