She was predeceased by: her parents, James Akins and Bertha Akins (Johnston); her siblings, Earnest, Benny, Jimmy, Randy, Gayleen, Hazel and Barbara; her granddaughter Rachel; and her great grandchild Cameron.
She is survived by: her daughter Sue; her siblings, Verlon Brown, Claudine Pierce, Joann Pryor, Jerry Akins, Tommy Akins, Debra Marriot and Sarah Longeway; her daughters, Della Mitchell, Mona Leal, Kimberly Leal and Joy Schrimsher; and her grandchildren, Tabra, Aaron, Misty, Florencio, Jared, Josh, Kyle, Karolyn, Ethan, Ashley and Jessie. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and other family and friends.
