He is survived by: his parents, Erick Mathews of Wellston and Rachel Mathews; his sister Jayden Mathews; his grandparents, Eddie, Sally Mathews of Choctaw and Cynthia Peery; his aunt Heather Madden of Norman; his uncles, Cameron Peery and Guy Peery; and his close friend Clifton Franklin.
