It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wathena Lee Winfrey of Welch, Oklahoma, born in Vinita, Oklahoma, who passed away on September 15, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Halbert Parsons and Wilma Parsons (Cheek); her sister Carolyn Boyd; and her son-in-law Eddie Griffin. She is survived by: her husband Richard Winfrey; her children, Laura Griffin of Vinita, Steve Russell (Robin) of Adair, Robin Agler (Brian) of Columbus and Rick Winfrey (Terri) of Afton; her siblings, Wanda Punches of Pawhuska, Vicky Fowler of Bedford, TX, Jo Herriman (Scott) of South Coffeyville, OK, Doris Parsons of Owasso, David Parsons (Julie) of Delaware, OK, Randy Parsons (Tricia) of South Coffeyville, OK and Gerald Parsons of Alpine, TX; and her granddaughters, Whitney Wilson (Dustin), Paige Long (Deke), Hailie Griffin, Miranda Lewis (Alex), Chase Winfrey, Rian Winfrey, Taylor Agler and Brice Agler. She is also survived by six great grandchildren; numerous brothers and sisters in law.
