With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Mearl Sharp (Weatherford, Oklahoma), born in Youngstown, Ohio, who passed away on December 17, 2022 at the age of 72. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joseph Mearl Sharp to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sharp and Georgia Sharp (Bechdolt); his nieces, Shannon Lynne Clark and Michele S. Montgomery; and his nephew Todd Klingel.

He is survived by: his son Preston Sharp of Oklahoma City; his wife Glenda Long of Hydro, Oklahoma; and his siblings, Jean Christy of Canfield, Janis Clark of The Villages, Jackie Hall of Moore, Sue Montgomery of Athens, Karen Taylor of Moore, Oklahoma and Billy Sharp of Bethany. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family has asked that donations be made to the Hydro First Responders in lieu of flowers.
