He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Kurtz and Alene Kurtz (Henke); and his brother Mickey Dean Kurtz. He is survived by: his wife Dana Kurtz; his children, Dustin Kurtz (Ashley) of Oklahoma City and Lindsey Robinson (Jacob) of Weatherford; and his grandchildren, Lennis Jane Robinson, Cameron Austin and Brady Jack Kurtz.

Memorials may be made to the Nazih Zuhdi Transplant Institute at Baptist Hospital.
