He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Lee and Viola Belle Helton (Icke); and his siblings, Robert Lee Helton, Johnny Thomas Helton, James Adam Helton, May Belle Ross, Lola Elizabeth Tomlinson and Eva Iola McDowell.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Helton of Enid; his children, Roy Dean Helton, Jr. of Broken Arrow and Teresa Herren (Monty) of Avard; his sister Ruby Lee Maggard (Marvin) of Pueblo, Colorado; and his sisters-in-law, Joyce Helton of Duncan and Lois Rhodes (Bill) of Carmen. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, other relatives, and countless friends.
