He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy William and Chrystal Ray Burt (Hull); his wife Linda Diane Burt; his niece Jeniffer Shaunde Thompson; his grandparents, Jesse and Ellen Hull of Waynoka; his brother-in-law JC Thompson; and his pets, Caesar (CeCe) and Foxey.
He is survived by: his sister Barbara Jean Thompson; his nephew Jesse Tylee Thompson (Christina); his great-niece Ana Rose Thompson; his great-nephews, William Charles and Jesse "Levi" Thompson; his close friend Marissa Bugay; his niece Whitney Steffen; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Aaliyah, Nevaeh and Mikaela; his in-law Knabe; and his close friends, David Kenyon, Ricky Diefenbach, Stoney Fox, Clyde Holcom, Gary Adams and Jerry Roberts. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Marshall Funeral Home Chapel (230 Flynn St, Alva, OK 73717). A burial was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at the Waynoka Municipal Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Northwestern Oklahoma State University Foundation, Inc., where he was proud to work and a proud donor for many years.
