It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Ellsworth Newton Jr. of Waynoka, Oklahoma, who passed away on January 9, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ellsworth Newton, Sr. and Jennie Margaret Newton; his former wives, Jessie and Kathryn Varney; his siblings, Russell Newton, Opal Oringdorff, Jim Newton, Velma Dyer, Ann Hague, Wilbur Melrose and Thomas Newton; and his grandson Silas Franco.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy Newton; his sons, Carl Newton (Jacqueline) and Kevin Newton (Medina Franco); his grandchildren, Terry, Cindy Hurst and Tammy Hubble; his sister Roberta Roberts; his grandchildren, Rachael Newton, Timothy Newton (Michelle), Stacie Newton (Keithan Smith), James Phillips, Susan and Samathana Franco; and his great grandchildren, Elijah, Samuel, Thomas, Isabella, Kaylynn and Ezekial.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka (1872 E Cecil St, Waynoka, OK 73860). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the First Baptist Church (1769 Elm St, Waynoka, OK 73860).
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Wednesday Night Children's Ministry, First Baptist Church, Waynoka.
