With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Burris of Wayne, Oklahoma, born in Talihina, Oklahoma, who passed away on January 1, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mose B. Burris and Willie Dosie Stick Burris; his wife Carolyn; his son Trevor Burris; and his siblings, Doris Grace, Winnie Mae, Sebena Charlotte, Neather Mozella, Gabriel Oshway, Elton Hoyt, Edwin Neil, Mose Burris, Jr., Wisdom Leeallen and Mary Francis Cochran.
He is survived by: his children, Camille Wright of Newcastle, OK, Dustin Burris, Scott Burris (Linda) of Guthrie, OK, Darcy Palumbo (Nathan Palumbo) of Oklahoma City, OK, Chase Hackle, Chad Shed of Tuttle, OK and Checotah Burris of Wayne, OK; his sister Lonie Burris of Ada; and his grandchildren, Marissa Yeaman, Mallory Yockel, Brook Martin, Taylor Shed and Gianna Palumbo.
