He was predeceased by: his parents, B. A. Farris and Eva Farris (Sorrell); his wife Mildred; and his siblings, J. C. Farris, Bryan Farris, Beulah Lehman and Evalene Reed.
He is survived by: his sons, Bill Farris (Sally) of Noble and Johnny Farris (Jan) of Addington, Oklahoma.; his grandchildren, Chelsea Dorward (Russell) of Clifton, Dell Farris (Caitlin) of Comanche, Matthew Farris of Goldsby and Ben Farris (Erin) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.; his great grandchildren, Rance Dorward, Camie Dorward, Davis Dorward and Caroline Farris; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Finney (Bob) of Denton, Helen Morris of Midland and Kay Cotten of Hereford.
In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to ProRodeo Hall of Fame in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Rodeo Historical Society Hall of Fame at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, or National Cowgirl Hall of Fame in Ft. Worth, Texas, or to American Cancer Society.
