The memory of John Russell Oler of Watonga, Oklahoma, who passed away on October 3, 2024 at the age of 80, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. In the sacred silence of farewell, John is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that John's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Oler and Louise Oler (Long); his son John Russell, Jr.; and his brothers, Richard (Dick) and Robert (Bob).
He is survived by: his wife Donna; his sister Patsy Driever (Pat); and his sons, Ryan (Michelle) and Jeff (Gina). He is also survived by three grandchildren, two bonus grandchildren, two bonus great-grandchildren; extended family members, plus a plethora of friends.
In lieu of plants and flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the East Mount Pleasant Cemetery (P.O. Box 442, Watonga, 73772) located on the Oler's section of land, or to the Watonga IOOF Cemetery near Watonga, to assist with maintenance costs of these cemeteries.
