He was predeceased by: his parents, LaVerne Herring and Carleen Herring (Logan); and his in-laws, Milton and Nancy Codynah. He is survived by: his wife Sonia Herring; his children, Erin Simpson (Shannon), Mishona Herring of Edmond, OK, Mindi Chasenah (JD) and J. C. Herring of Walters; his grandchildren, Gage, Kylie Simpson, Jermaine, Jermiah Chasenah, Trenity and Trevin Reed; his aunt Geneva Hawkins (Howard); and his uncle Rex Herring (Candy).
Viewing was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church-Walters (202 E Oklahoma Ave, Walters, OK 73572).
