He is survived by: his wife Claudia Newman; his sisters, Jeanette, Sharon Wilson (Bob), Sherrel Copeland and Tammie Anderson (Brian); his daughters, Jesselyn Schmitz-Nakolo and Andrea Rogers (Jeff); and his grandchildren, Ethan, Hunter, Laken and Ella.

Memorials may be made to Wakita Fire Department through the funeral home.
