It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvester Spurgeon (Vinita, Oklahoma), born in Hulbert, Oklahoma, who passed away on December 28, 2018, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Pearl Jessie Spurgeon (Hensley) and Benjamin Spurgeon; his siblings, Lloyd Spurgeon, Orville Spurgeon and Clella Bigley; his children, Charles Michael Spurgeon of California, Danny Wayne Spurgeon (Rosie) of Arizona, Benny Joe Spurgeon of Vinita, Connie Yvonne Ramos of Arizona and Brenda Kay Torres of Arizona; and his sister Wallice Spurgeon of Grand Lake. He was also cherished by twenty-six grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; many other relatives and a host of friends.
