He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Burckhalter and Ruth Burckhalter; his brother Col. James Burckhalter; and his siblings-in-law, Bob Kerby, Stan Parker and Merrye Ann Maddux.
He is survived by: his wife Sallye; his children, Summer Falling (Robert) of Vinita and Matt Burckhalter Masson (Steven) of Colleyville; his grandchildren, Parker, Carter, Tucker Falling, Nate and Luke Masson; his sister Jane Kerby; his sister-in-law Miriam Burckhalter; his nieces, Vanessa Hicks (Danny), Tatiana Kane (P. J.) and Meryruth Burckhalter; and his nephew Kasey Kerby (Renee).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Burckhalter-Highsmith Chapel (201 N Wilson St, Vinita, OK 74301). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
