He was predeceased by: his parents, Buel Clettis and Queenester Clara Sayles (Brown); his stepmother Rosella Sharon Sayles; and his sister Genevia "Gen" Murray. He is survived by: his siblings, Buel "BJ" Sayles, Craig Sayles, Ray Sayles (Sophia), Jerry Sayles, Anita Carey (James), Ester Sayles, Joseph Sayles, Bobby Sayles, Selina Sayles and Melissa Sayles; his sister-in-law Victoria Sayles; and his cousin Sherman Alberty. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
