He is survived by: his wife Sandra Lovada Cates; his children, Floyd Cox of Pensacola, Ellen Prewitt of Claremore, Jerry Cox of Inola, Rosalene Phillips, Joe Keeton of Foyil, Sara Froman (Lance) of Claremore, Christina Beaver (Shane) of Vinita, Rachael Cox of Vinita and Lindsey Ballard (Aaron) of Broken Arrow; and his siblings, J. C. Cox (Mary Jo) of Oklahoma City, Jerry Cox of Oklahoma City, Avenell Choat (Gerald) of Wanette and Clorine Bolen of Salina.
