He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Harlton Charles and Wilma Lorene "Harlton" Charles; his brother Bob Charles; and his sister-in-law LaVern Charles. He is survived by: his spouse Fay Ann Bugher; his son Douglas Leon Charles of Vinita; his grandchildren, Michael Leon Charles (Kalli) of Vinita and Sarah Elizabeth Roberts of Vinita; his great grandchild Kenzely Roberts of Vinita; and his siblings, Ruby Horner of Clifton, Tennessee and Larry Charles of Shepherdsville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
