It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alta Jean Newcomb of Vinita, Oklahoma, born in Coffeyville, Kansas, who passed away on December 26, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Sheppard and Axie Sheppard (Miller); her husband Clyde Newcomb; her sisters, Vicky Williams and Mary Sheppard; her niece Annette Henderson; and her great-nephew Mitchel Eichhorn.
She is survived by: her son Charles "Kevin" Lewallen (Cherilyn Kay) of Vinita, OK; her grandchildren, Rochelle Lewallen of Inola, OK and Derrick Lewallen of Vinita, OK; her great grandchild Mason Lewallen of Inola, OK; and her great-niece Annette Eichhorn.
