He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Smith (Blackwell) and Emmer Olin Smith; his brother Richard Lee Smith; and his grandson Damon Vincent Smith. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Smith (Daily); his children, Daryl Gene "Butch" Smith (Sheila), James Olin Smith (Shannon) and Diana Montgomery (Smith) of Gore, OK; his brother E. O. Jr.; his grandchildren, Jennifer Smith Sutton (Chad), Daryl Gene Smith, Dr. Lacey (Colten Nevel), James Caleb Montgomery (Emma), Bradford Montgomery (Aubrey) and Brooke Montgomery Smith (Layne); and his great grandchildren, Landon Sutton, Reid Sutton, Quinn Montgomery, Eli Montgomery, Tripp Smith, Blakely Smith, Molly Smith, Hazel Montgomery, Madison Montgomery and Luca Nevell. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many friends.
