It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John R Martin of Verden, Oklahoma, born in Rocky, Oklahoma, who passed away on July 20, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thomas Martin and Maudie Martin (Harper); and his siblings, Joe, Paul and Lavene Sharp.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Nance; his children, Judith Freeman (John) and James Martin of Tuttle, OK; his stepchildren, Robin Eaton (Terry), Shawn Choat (Keith) and David Prathers of Chickasha; and his sisters, Genea Rahhal of Cordell, Nadine Frazier of Cordell and Susan Farris. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
