He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie Clifton "O. C." Norton and Alta Norton (White); his wife Charlene Cooksey; his children, Sharlott and Pat; and his grandsons, Steven Driver, Clifton Norton and Jacob Norton.
He is survived by: his son Bobby Norton (Pam) of Velma; his son-in-law James "Tony" Driver of Velma; and his grandchildren, Jad Driver (Sue), Mindy Fisher (Danny), Kelli Meyer (Jason) and Stephanie Hebb (Phil). He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Alexander Gray Funeral Chapel (308 Main St, Velma, OK 73491). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Velma (100 Main St, Velma, OK 73491).
His contributions to the aerospace industry were notable, allowing him to retire at the age of 55.
