He was predeceased by: his father Leon Edwards. He is survived by: his mother Betty Jane Edwards (Moore) of Tussy; his wife Valerie; his children, Amanda Edwards, Stephen Edwards (Crystal) of Pawhuska and Jacob Edwards (Kristen) of Velma; his siblings, Mary Wade of Bethel, Leo Edwards (Heather) of Montgomery, TX and John Edwards (Leah) of Lindsay; and his grandchildren, Zellee Edwards, Emory Edwards, Tynan Justice, Lane Edwards and Bryce Edwards.

The family has asked everyone in attendance at the service to please wear a mask and practice social distancing. Also, anyone who has tested positive for COVID or has been exposed to COVID in the last 14 days are requested not to attend.

In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be made to the Joe Edwards Memorial Scholarship Fund at the 1st National Bank of Velma; PO Box 309 Velma, OK 73491.

“Dear, Family, Sorry, about your loss. I remember Joseph while I was in school. He drove our bus at least one year. My family and I have been praying for Joseph since we heard he was sick. We are praying that God will bring you comfort at this time. Joseph always seemed like a nice person. I also remember when he owned the store on the east side of Velma. God Bless.
