He was predeceased by: his parents, Kellum Mitchell and Altie Mitchell (Stamps); his wife Wanda Mitchell; and his sisters, Mary Knight and Hazel Gipson.
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Linda Frei (Chris); his sister Laverne Elliott; his nephew Paul Gipson; and his cousin Vida Winters. He is also survived by three grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Miller and Miller Funeral Home - Valliant (201 East Wilson St, Valliant, OK 74764). A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rufe Cemetery Rufe Cemetery.
