It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolee Gaye Nickel of Turpin, Oklahoma, born in Newton, Kansas, who passed away on November 24, 2023, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Orville Duane and Geneva Smith; her husband Ron Nickel of Turpin; her daughters, Megan Stephens (Kolby) of Ponca City, Kaitlyn Welch (Eric) of Ponca City and Cassandra Nickel of Turpin; her grandchildren, Avery, Hadley, Kinley Welch, Blakely Stephens, Owen Welch, Bentley Stephens, Ron Smith (Rosemary) and Terry Smith; her granddaughter-in-law Jana; her grandsons, Loren Smith (Georgia) and Eric Smith (Tracie); her sister Rita Friesen (Ken); and also Geneva Smith.
