He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Grover Bassett, Jr. and Helen Christina Bassett (Adkison); his brother Garry Dean Bassett; and his son Larry Gene Bassett Jr.. He is survived by: his sons, Derek Bassett and Jeffrey Bassett of Afton, Oklahoma; and his brothers, Thomas L Bassett and Richard A Bassett of Grove, Oklahoma. He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
