He was predeceased by: his parents, James Virgil Tibbs and Elsie Tibbs (Whisenhunt); and his brother Lloyd Tibbs. He is survived by: his wife Carole Adeline Tibbs (Dahlmann); and his daughters, Vivian Scroggins (Fred), Sharon Dougless (Paul) and Lois Frischmann (Fred). He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home (3841 S Peoria Ave, Tulsa, OK 74105). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home & Chapel (3841 S Peoria Ave, Tulsa, OK 74105).
