He was predeceased by: his parents, Courtland Sams and April Murphy Sams; his son Randall Sams; and his siblings, Nathan Sams and Ethma "Sami" Barham (Robert Barham).
He is survived by: his pets, Chester and Oscar; his children, Richard Barto, Scott Barto, Michael Barto, Corky Sams, Angel Cox and Wendi Bowen; and his grandchildren, Timmothy, Victoria, Tiffany, Malissa, Maranda, David, Benjamin, Laura, Christopher, Brandon, Amanda, Jessica, Ryleigh, Kaedynn and Liam. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mowery Funeral Service (9110 N Garnett Rd, Owasso, OK 74055). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel (9110 N Garnett Rd, Owasso, OK 74055).
