He is survived by: his wife Carol Hendrix; his sons, Brett Hendrix (Christi) and Terry Brian Hendrix; his grandchildren, Braden, Camden and Corbyn Hendrix; his sister Linda Long; his nephew Matthew Hendrix; and his pet Peanut.

“Dear Sharon, Brett, Brian & Linda, I just saw the notice for Dennis and I am heartbroken as I know you all are too. Dennis and I met at Crowell Heights Baptist Church when I moved to Tulsa from Texas to live with my grandparents. He was always my sweet friend and he even came to Houston when my husband passed away to help me be strong.. I am so sorry to hear that Dennis is gone and I can’t talk to him anymore.
