He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Dietrich Watts of Camden; his children, David O Watts, Jr. (Zilma) of Decatur and Beth Watts Akers (Steve) of Round Rock; his granddaughter Stephanie Akers of Dallas; and his brother John C. Watts of Ft. Smith, Arkansas..

“David was such a dear man. He played tennis with my Dad. After my Dad passed away, he and Carolyn would take my mother out to eat and share their delicious crop of tomatoes with them. We were sad to hear of his passing but understood his health was declining. We are so thankful for people like David and Carolyn. Genuinely nice folks!
