With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dannie M. Carlis (Tulsa, Oklahoma), born in Nuyaka, Oklahoma, who passed away on February 14, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Johnson and Charlene Johnson; her siblings, Doris Lee Adams, Ronnie Johnson and Daniel Lee Johnson, Jr.; and her grandson Daniel Shepherd.
She is survived by: her siblings, Charlie Johnson of Tulsa, OK, Glenda Golden (Rodney Chaney) of Tulsa, OK, Gale Clark (Larry Morris) of Tulsa, OK and Jackie Tate (Roy) of Tulsa, OK.; her grandchildren, Craig Carlis (Jenay), Nastassja Shepherd, Daneesha Shepherd, Isaiah Shepherd, Damarque Shepherd (Amiya), Dia Carlis, Shaune Payne, Corey Payne, Gavin Carlis, Gage Carlis, Sha'Cor Payne and Justice Wright; her great grandchildren, Rue Shepherd, Ava Carlis, Zaylia Shepherd and Zamani Shepherd; and also, Dorothy Winbush, Frances Martin-Hall, Jimmie Holmes and Thomasin Alexander.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Jack's Memory Chapel (801 E 36th St N, Tulsa, OK 74106). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Paradise Baptist Church (507 E King St, Tulsa, OK 74106).
