It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brenda Smith of Tulsa, Oklahoma, who passed away on December 11, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Carl and Mamie Carl (Alexander); her siblings, Carol Taylor, Sharon Garrison, Sonny Carl and Jackie Cooper; and her son Christopher Lee.
She is survived by: her husband Buddy; her children, Zachary "Shane" Smith (Sarah Anaya), Amanda Smith, Noah and Alisha Smith; her siblings, Bobby Gene Cooper, JoAnn Hughes, Patsy Dawson, Joie Ratliff, Bubbie Carl, Deanna Bohard, Mary Webb and Paula Potts; and her grandchildren, Lauren Smith, Ashley (Matthew Anderson), Michael Smith, Elizabeth (William Cartwright), Noah Smith, Christopher Smith, Anthony Smith, Shaylee Smith and Jeremiah Smith. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives, friends.
Viewing was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home (108 W Delaware St, Cleveland, OK 74020). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Western Heights Baptist Church (200 N Gilbert Ave, Cleveland, OK 74020).
