He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur McFarlin and Nellie McFarlin (Burger); and his siblings, Ervie Murch, Thelma Wittman, James McFarlin, Henry McFarlin, Ollie Rossiter, LeeRay McFarlin, Mary Rains, Art McFarlin, Faye Pruitt, Nina Hood Rodgers, Sarah Linder Carmichael and Clarence McFarlin.
He is survived by: his wife Lois; and his children, Tina (Wayne Hamm) of Tryon, Sue (John Turpin) of Tryon, DeAnn (Jay Varble) of Ripley and Tony (Sabrina McFarlin) of Tryon. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and their companions; eighteen great grandchildren; and a host of extended family.
