He was predeceased by: his parents, Talmadge T. Garrett and Maudie Carson Garrett; his stepmother Lovena Treat Garrett; his siblings, Murl W., Joseph C. Garrett and Mary Alice Pierson; and his son-in-law Steven G. Shoemake.
He is survived by: his wife Ina L. Garrett (Sandy) of Tishomingo; and his daughters, Suzan F. Shoemake of Tishomingo and Christine Vestal (Marc Vestal) of Muskogee. He is also survived by two grandsons, 4 granddaughters, eleven great-grandchildren.
