She was predeceased by: her parents, O. C. Ruth and Edna Ruth; her husband James Edwards; her siblings, Otis, Oscar Ruth, Virgina Higginbotham and Judy Wallace; her daughter Sue Burns (Harris); her stepchildren, Faye Wilson and Jimmy Edwards; her grandsons, Jayme Cook and Jeremy Karnes; and her close friend Irene Stewart.
She is survived by: her children, Lavon Brown, Evelyn Frazier, Barbara Robbins, Jay Burns, Kerry and Wayne Karnes; and her sisters, Hazel Ruth and Charlene Sorrell. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
