Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Harold Lee Scates of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, who passed away at the age of 79, on January 25, 2025. He was predeceased by: his mother Nancy Bell Scates (Smith); his wife Betty Ann Wyatt; his father Emmett Scates; his son Dustin Scates; and his siblings, Nathan Scates and Edna Williamson.

He is survived by: his children, Stefine Wood (Jay) of Tishomingo, William "Bill" Scates of Tishomingo and Kimberly Downward of McKinney, TX; his grandchildren, Jordan Westfall of Yukon, Camyn Knox of Enid, Konnor Knox of Oklahoma City and Kizzie Wood of Tishomingo; and his great grandchildren, Gigi and Reagan of Yukon.

A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church (9700 US-377, Tishomingo, OK 73460).

A deeply devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church, Harold served faithfully as a deacon and was an active participant in the local chapters of Ducks Unlimited and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
