It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ralph Allen Van Oostrum of Tipton, Oklahoma, born in Frederick, Oklahoma, who passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Marie Van Oostrum (Vernon) and Elbert Van Oostrum; and his brother Carlton. He is survived by: his wife Margery Hardie of Paul's Episcopal Church; his children, Amanda Berry (Kelly), Andy Van Oostrum (Shannon Kelly), Amy Rothrock (Jimmy) and Allen Van Oostrum (Sarah); his grandchildren, Nathan, Turner, Parker Coleman, Connor Berry (Jayme), Sommer Cosme (Enrique, III), Sam Van Oostrum, Gwen, J. T., Isabel, Paul, Abigail, Noah Rothrock, Peter, Elijah, Grace and Micah Van Oostrum; his children, Keeley and Jack Frieh; his great grandchild Enrique, IV; his sister Bettie Janzen (Deryl); his brother-in-law Bill Hardie (Chappel); and his pet Cathy.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that in his memory, you may donate a $5 bill (or amount of your choice) to the First Methodist Church for the next mission trip to Guatemala in June. There will be donation receptacles at the funeral home and at the church.
