He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Byron and Era Lee Reed (Roberts); his grandson Hunter Reed Watson; and his siblings, Virginia Kretzchmar, Linda Reed, Judith Tabler, Byron Reed, Randall Reed and Tim Reed.
He is survived by: his children, Angie Melton (David) and Jack Reed; and his siblings, Gilbert Reed, Lonnie Reed, Steven Reed, Anthony Reed, Johnny Reed and Sherry Milam. He is also survived by three grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
