He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Ballard and Virgie Ballard Miller (Taylor); his stepfather Glen Miller; his brother Tony Ballard Sr.; and his former wife Helen Timm (Miller).
He is survived by: his wife Lorene Ballard; his children, Ernest Ballard Jr. (Carolyn) of Sunbright, Kenneth Ballard of Logansport, Leonard Ballard (Kaitlyn Gray) of Thackerville, Jackie Beebout (Bob) of Logansport, Indiana, Shawna Ballard (Robert Pillow) of Thackerville and Glenda McKenzie (Chad) of Ardmore; his siblings, Thomas Ballard (Kathy) of Ringling, Bruce Miller (Cheryl) of Ardmore and Linda Hoggard (Sam) of Ratliff City; and his sister-in-law Barbara Ballard of Ringling. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
